Split marathon

Traditionally since 2016. the last weekend in February is reserved for a great sporting event in the town under Marjan. This year, Split marathon will be held on February 26, 2023. at 9:00 am with a start on the Split Riva.

The Split Marathon has undoubtedly enriched the sports and tourist offer of the City of Split. It has become an unavoidable destination for all lovers of healthy living, recreational and professional running.

This year's Split Marathon brings us:

Marathon - AIMS-certified trail that goes around the peninsula on which the City of Split is located with a short trip to Solin and a tour of Vranjica (known as Little Venice). The start and finish are on Split Riva, next to Diocletian's Palace. On the track, there are 12 refreshment stations and time measurement at 10 places with live monitoring of the arrival of each runner. All participants who complete the race will receive medals.

Relay marathon - relay marathon is run in 4 shifts (according to IAAF rules), 3 sections per 10 km and one section of 12,195 km, can be run as a men’s relay (4 M), as a women’s relay (4 W) or as a mixed relay (2W + 2M).

Half-marathon - AIMS certified track that has been modified with less ascent. The start and finish are on the Split Riva. There are 6 refreshment stations and time measurement on the track at 6 places with live tracking passage of each runner. Each participant who finishes the race will receive a medal for participation at the finish line.

Slobodna Dalmacija Trophy - 10 minutes after the start of the marathon and half marathon, the 5 km race of the Free Dalmatia Trophy starts. The start and finish are on Split's Riva, and in one round it passes through the pedestrian zone towards the west coast and further to the ACI marina and back to the Riva. Each participant who finishes the race will receive a medal for participation at the finish line.

This year, we believe that the City of Split will be visited by many domestic and foreign participants in the race.
